so. i have carpal tunnel. no jewelry making for kimme-O. which really sucks cause you know it's really hard to sell stuff online if your not constantly adding new jewelry. my hand is a little better. i can actually move my fingers without concentrating. blah.
anyway, jewelry making is currently on hold.

Also exciting news! one of my best friends has started her own etsy shop!!!! so this is Sonja's store and as of right now this is what she's got up for sale. Sonja is a great printmaker. truly talented. her books- oh man her books are absolutely amazing. i hope she puts one of those up for sale. anyway, check out Sonja and keep checking... i'm sure she'll add more, and i'm sure you'll be amazed.

it's been awhile since my last post. been busy at the store... my mom/business partner had some surgery. so while she's recouping I've been working both our schedules.

what i'm super excited about right now is a very nice woman from Ireland want to buy one of my necklaces!!! *insert happy dance here*

I had to work today. usually i hate working Saturdays. so many books, so little time. but it was a good day. in between taking in books and helping costumers, i got to fool around in the Etsy forums.. dude, i'm addicted. can't go five mins without checking the forums. its sad.

today was the day of the dog. one of our regulars brought in three of his FREEKN' HUGE greyhounds. then later, Natalie's family came in with their pup. oh but know whats cool?? after work Nat and i met up at the dog park. Toby had a ball. poor Montana though... had to stay home. the park gives her the poops. mike said she sat by the front door the entire hour we were gone, waiting for Toby and i to get home.

hello.
first blog here... well, not really my first blog, but certainly my first blog on blogger.
who me am--> i sell Books and make jewelry .

making jewelry is an expressive outlet for me. my real job/career is books. my mother and i own a small used bookstore in Suwanee GA. we've been open for almost five years now, and i can honestly say we've been blessed.
i have a B.A. in studio art from Agnes Scott College. (small women's college right outside of Atlanta)i'm actually quite proud of my education at ASC. it's a small college which means lots of small classes and never having to pick a focus. so i've dabbled in just about everything: photography, printmaking, book making, jewelry, sculpture, painting and so on.
i've been in a few shows in and around Atlanta and Athens (once i even had some photography in a show in Italy) and i've got some work in a collection or two.
about me: i'm bad at math and i can't spell worth a lick. in fact i have a learning disability. makes running a book store very interesting -- trust me. i've got two huge dogs, a very sweet geek of a husband, friends who i depend on to keep me sane and an amazing family. i'm short, playful, frank and addicted to spell check.
